These trains have high speed and they take 8 to 9 hours to reach Goa. There is one South Central Railway train that touches Goa. It is Nizamuddin- Goa Express which comes daily in Goa from Delhi via Pune.
There are two major stations Margao and Vasco -da -Gama. Konkan railway trains stop at Margao and South Central Railway trains stop at Vasco da Gama station.
There are various Railways in Goa which connect the tourist places in Goa. These local trains in Goa move between the North and South district of Goa.
There is Dudhsagar Rail that goes to the Dudhsagar Waterfalls. Before reaching Dudhsagar Waterfalls Sanvordem and Collem station. Goa has two major railway stations — Margao and Vasco-da-Gama.
Both these stations are located in the southern area of the state. The South Central Railway terminus is at Vasco-da-Gama and the Konkan Railway terminus is at Margao.
All the trains usually halt for a few minutes at a number of other smaller stations in Goa. The South Central Railway has one train, the Nizamuddin-Goa Express coming in daily in the early
morning. This train departs from Delhi and comes to Goa via Pune.
There are also a host of local trains in Goa that shuttle between the North and South districts. Dudhsagar Rail Tours, provides a rail tour to Dudhsagar Waterfalls.
The train departs from Vasco Railway Station at 6.40 in the morning and arrives at Margao station at 7.25 a.m. The train halts at Sanvordem, and Collem stations, before reaching Dudhsagar at 9.15 am.
The train returns from Dudhsagar at 2.30p.m. The carrying capacity of the coach is 108 seats. The fare is Rs 400, which is inclusive of breakfast and lunch.
