weapons, sensors, safety equipment, rare photographs depicting
Goa's liberation and artifacts. All these exhibits essentially
speak about the history of Indian Naval Aviation.
Initially Goa Naval Aviation Museum had a modest collection
of six aircraft but with time the number of its exhibits increased.
And at present, this naval museum takes pride in showcasing
12 aircrafts. With this augmentation in number, it has become
the second largest Aviation Museum in India.
On entering Naval Aviation Museum in Goa you will first get
to see the main indoor galleries in the building. You will
realize that the entrance of this building is designed as
interiors of an Aircraft carrier only.
Besides, various rooms in this museum building illustrate
flight safety measures and equipments. You will also come
across an ejection seat that was used in a successful bale
out by Lt Cdr Sanjay Chitnis. It is badly broken but still
is very illustrative.
Naval Aviation Museum in Goa is open on all days from 10.00
