Foogddi is a dance very much loved among Goan Hindu women and girls. This dance usually involves dancing with a brass pot on the head. It involves exquisite footwork and bustling rhythm.

The most well-liked form of Foogddi in Goa is the one with circle formation which commences with the chanting of religious invocations. Konkani songs of special connotation as well as of social themes follow upon the religious hymns. It is performed before Lord Ganesha.
