Day 1: Arrive Goa.
After your arrival in Goa , our representative will meet you
at the airport and arrange for your transfer to the hotel
in Baga. Here you can enjoy birding in the lush green fields
around the Baga Beach and the hotel's balcony also serves
this purpose. Bask in the golden rays of the sun at the pristine
white beach .
Day 2: Goa
Today in the early morning we embark on a bird watching tour
to Morjim beach which is one of the most serene beach in Goa.
Here you will be visiting the Sea Turtle Conservation , get
to see Olive Ridley Sea Turtle as well as watch here waders,
gulls and terns. After lunch we visit Saligao which has two
springs Salmona and Mollebhat nestled amidst lush green forest
. You can take refreshing plunge here or watch the different
types of vegetation here. Night is spent at the hotel.
Day 3: Goa
We leave the hotel early morning for Charao island and Mayem
lake for bird watching tour. Here you will be delighted to
see Pheasant tailed Jacana, Pygmy Goose ,Comb Duck and common
species like herons and egrets. Overnight is spent at the
hotel in Baga.
Day 4: Goa
Today we spend the whole day in bird watching at Carambolim,
a 72-hectare lake is a major attraction for bird watchers.
You will find here exotic, migratory birds, which have been
flocking to the Carambolim lake for hundreds of years, The
picturesque landscape and wetlands will impress you very much.
We also visit Santa Cruz marshes where you will find a number
of shore birds and Dona Paula plateau where you can see Yellow-wattled
Lapwing and Ashy-crowned Finch-Lark.Spend night at the hotel
in Baga.
Day 5: Goa
Today we leave for Backwoods Camp,which is at the foothills
of western ghats .Here we well spend 3 nights birding in the
dense deciduous forests and also along the streams around
the camp.You will get to see White-bellied Blue Flycatcher
and Malabar Parakeet here. Backwoods Camp is regarded as the
Endemic Bird areas in Asia. You spend the night at Backwoods
camp.
Day 6 & 7: Goa
Today also we spend the day in birding around the Backwoods
Camp which is nestled amidst Bhagvan Mahabir wildlife sanctuary.
Today we will try to find those species which are difficult
to spot . Today you will watch here Malabar Trogon, Malabar
Grey Hornbill, Heart-spotted Woodpecker, Crimson-backed Sunbird,
Malabar Parakeet, Tickell's Blue Flycatcher, Malabar Whistling
Thrush, Forest Wagtail and Indian Pitta
Day 8: Goa
Today we leave the Backwoods Camp for a drive to Cotigao wildlife
sanctuary , on your way you can do some bird watching. Spend
night at Molyma Hotel.
Day 9: Goa
Today you will do bird watching tour at Cotiago reserve till
12 noon,get to see Rufus Woodpecker, white-eyed eagle and
the Malabar crested eagle here. Then after having brunch we
leave the hotel at Molyma and drive back to your hotel in
Baga. We reach there by dusk.
Day 10: Goa
We spend the morning in birding on Cabanna hill, and watch
Indian Robin, Small Minivets, Bar-winged Flycatcher Shrike,
Grey Bushchat ,White-throated Fantails here and in the .evening
we go for birding at Fort Aguada.You will get to see Cattle,Egret,Brahminy
kite,White bellied Sea Eagle,Indian Peafowl, Spotted dove
,Asian Koel and many more here at Fort Aguada, a well preserved
Portuguese Fort
Day 11: Goa
Today in the morning we leave for a full day birding at Bondla
wildlife sanctuary, which is a paradise for bird watchers.
Here you will get to see The State Bird (Ruby Throated Yellow
Bulbul) , Common Grey Hornbill ,Golden Backed Woodpecker.
Day 12: Goa
Today we go for a boat cruise to find the collared Kingfisher
also other birds like
White-cheeked Barbet, Pipits and Richards, Blyth's and Paddyfield
. There are Pied Bushchat, Common Sandpipers, Little Ringed
Plovers, Asian Palm Swift.
Day 13: Goa
Today also spend the morning watching birds like Pied Bushchat,
Common Sandpipers, Little Ringed Plovers, Asian Palm Swift,
White-throated kingfisher, Spotted Owlet, and Oriental Skylark.
on Baga Hills, evening are spent at the Candolim Marshes where
you can find the kingfisher.
Day 14: Goa Departure
Today we will arrange your transfer to the airport for your
return journey back home.
